The service was excellent as well, from the welcoming greeting we received upon entering the prompt, friendly and professional service provided by Heather, our server. I was particularly impressed with the spaghetti squash served with the pork. For our entree, my girlfriend had the fish and I had pork tenderloin. We started with the local mushroom and sunchoke soup - I love it! For our second course, my girlfriend had the Lady Moon Romaine Caesar Salad and I had the Crispy Brussels and Shitake. choice of two small plates or desserts and one entree for $55.00. The menu changes week to week as to what is available from local farms. Topsoil is a true farm to table experience for this reason the menu selection is limited. The overall experience was a fine dining experience in a casual atmosphere. I should have asked to move, but the only open table was one down and that would have been awkward! Other than that I’d like to take a chance on lunch one day. Since the tables were close you couldn’t help being exposed to the toxicity of their behavior. The only downside was the couple next to us were in a full blown argument the entire time. The waitress/Sommelier made some excellent choices. I also added the wine pairings with my courses. My husband ordered the Garden Lavender Crème Brûlée. The sesame brittle was so nutty and crunchy. Very tender and tasty! For dessert I ordered the Tahini Crunch Cake. He said it was super tender and the strawberry rhubarb mustard glaze was superb! I ordered the Braised Creekstone Farm Shortrib. My husband got the Noonday Farm Duck breast. The Crispy Brussels really stood out with their savory sauce. It was delicious! The Brioche bread that came with it was superb! I ordered the Roasted Brussel Sprouts and my husband ordered the Smoked Trout spread. Taste like Summer in a glass! My husband had the Topsoil Od Fashioned. My before dinner cocktail was a Backseat Driver. My husband and I went for dinner on a Thursday Jazz night.
